Sony Vegas
This is the program we will use for clip placement and trimming clips. Essentially wewill create the trailer using this program. This program is our personal preference for editing and due to it not being available on school computers we will be editing at home. The program also allows us to edit audio which is helpfull when balancing the ambient sound to match any musical sound if we choose to use music.
Adobe After Effects
Whilst this software is designed for hollywood style film editing it will still be of use to us when I create my film trailer. After Effects has a set of filters and lighting effects that will make our trailer look more proffesional and help it stand out from the crowd. The filters can give our film a more grungy look and this will help immerse our viewers. After Effects also include lighting effects which balance light and shadow, this means we can worry less on lighting conditions ( A well lit area is still neccesary ) and more on filming.
